Problemsets and study materials, among other things
Lund problemsets
For some of the courses which I took at Lund University, I found it useful to create and solve a problemset of about 20 to 30 relevant problems before each written exam. To my knowledge, these courses have since been reformed, but these problemsets might still be handy.
I never kept a record of where the problems are actually from. I believe they’re all either made by me, or taken from the course textbooks or from Paul Dawkins’s Online Notes.
If you’d like access to the problemsets and solutions, be sure to contact me by email and I’ll be happy to share them. The courses for which I have problemsets are:
- MATA22 Linear Algebra 1,
- MATB21 Analysis in Several Variables 1,
- MATB22 Linear Algebra 2,
- MATB23 Analysis in Several Variables 2.
Scientific research work (in Latvian)
In Form 11, I wrote a scientific paper titled “Non-standard solutions to problems of the Latvian Open Mathematical Olympiad”. You can read it here.
Glossary of terms from Biology II (in Latvian)
In 2022, my biology teacher kindly asked to combine the work of many students, who had written definitions and found relevant images for various terms from the Biology II subject, into one webpage. You can check out the result here.
Programming olympiad preparation (in Latvian)
In 2023, a student from Salaspils qualified for the Latvian Olympiad in Informatics. The process of helping him prepare for the contest turned into a very long PDF discussing some of the useful concepts, which you can read here.
The student went on to get a significantly higher placement than in the regional qualification contest. He was rewarded in the national event with an honourable mention.
Later that year, some Swedish students asked what problems I felt were useful when learning to do contests. This spawned a list of useful problems, which you can see here.
